medium sized raptor that predominantly hunts other birds. typically misidentified with brown goshawks as they look very similar. some telltale differences are the eyes "sparrowhawk" stares, goshawk "glares", shape of tail (goshawk has a more rounded tail) and length of feet (sparrowhawk has very long middle feet).
