australia's largest owl. examples of prey for this majestic owl are possums and koala bears. this is a juvenile, who was with his mother and sibling when i took this image. i've been lucky enough to have seen them several times. they are typically elusive birds and wary of humans. people don't realise how large these owls are until they see them in person.
